| Fred Pacacha, born and raised in Williamsport, PA, attended Williamsport High School and later attended the University of Miami (UM). UM went on to win the vast majority of their matches during Fred's four years. While attending University of Miami, Fred participated in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps. Upon graduation, he was commissioned and posted at the Strategic Air Command Base in Abilene, Texas. Fred was the Public Relations and Information Officer for the base. At the end of his three year tour of duty, Fred decided to accept a job at Williamsport Country Club as an assistant professional. From there, he moved to Scarsdale (NY) Golf Club and later to Cold Spring Harbor (NY) Country Club. While at Cold Spring Country Club, Fred obtained his Class A Professional Status from the PGA. The following year, he was named head professional at Belles Springs Golf Course in Lock Haven, PA. He spent five years at Belles Springs. Then, for the next eight years, Fred was head golf professional at the Yacht and Country Club of Stuart, Florida. In 1984, Fred left Florida to become the head golf professional at Eagles Mere Country Club (EMCC). Fred has been the head golf professional at EMCC for 24 years now. |
